Today we will start a 5 piece series discussing the 5 Greatest Fat Loss tips. Each tip can be implemented immediately. We are trying to change habits here! If you are like me, change is good and necessary, but can be a challenge.
We become accustomed to our routines. Life gets comfortable on easy street. The "why fix it if ain't broke" mentality is too prevalent! If you didn't think it was broke you wouldn't be reading this, right? Here's the bottom line... You deserve more! The one thing all of my clients have in common is that they care for other people. They care so much that they don't take the time to reflect on what they are doing for themselves. If no one has ever told you, I'll be the first to tell you. You need to take time for yourself. Not 5 minutes, that's a breather. I know you have kids, a job, a husband, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends....I get it...it's fine. You are not being selfish. You can give more to your kids and loved ones if you are at 100%. These tips are for you to implement so that your "you time" is more enjoyable!
The first tip is super simple to say, but can be challenging to believe. Be REALISTIC!
Life isn't a game show. Those large losses are not safe, typical, and are not sustainable. You should be aiming to lose 2 lbs of fat per week, at most. That is healthy! Anything more is most likely eating away at the muscle tissue in your body, which you need for your fat loss journey! Every lb of muscle will burn more fat! Believe and be okay with not losing 15 lbs in a weekend. Anything more than 2lbs. is most likely a decrease in water not fat anyway.
How do we do this? Be patient, results will come in other ways before you see it on the scale. You will get stronger, faster, feel better, feel more energy, your clothes will fit better, you'll lose inches! These are the metrics I ask you to use before you sabotage your journey by stepping back on the scale.
Comfort Challenge!
Buy something you want to wear a couple sizes too small....Woman this can be a bathing suit you want to look amazing in. Men this can be your next clubbing t-shirt. Place this article of clothing somewhere you will see it every day. Try it on once every couple days to remind yourself why you are on the journey! Constantly having a reason to keep working hard will force you to stay consistent and you will notice it fitting different in a week or two.
Any questions type them here so others can benefit, or email us!
